Ballots Are Out: Key Dates for Eagle County's November 3 Election

Mail ballots for the 2026 General Election went out to Eagle County's active registered voters on October 7, and the county's 24-hour ballot boxes are open now. Here is what you need to know to make sure your vote counts.

Key dates

  • October 19 – Vote centers open in Edwards and El Jebel.

  • October 26 – Vote center opens in Eagle. This is also the last day to update your registration by mail or online and still receive a replacement ballot in the mail. After that, visit a vote center.

  • October 28 – Vote center opens in Vail.

  • Tuesday, November 3 – Election Day. Vote centers are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Don't mail it late

Your ballot must be received at a county ballot box or vote center by 7 p.m. on November 3. Postmarks don't count. If it's getting close, use a drop box instead of the mail.

Colorado has same-day registration: you can register and vote in person at any vote center through Election Day, as long as you've lived in Colorado for at least 22 days before the election.
